INCLINE

Amanda and I did the Incline in Manitou Springs, CO. Which is a 15 min. drive from Ft. Carson. The incline is a mile long, with a starting elevation of 6574 and ending elevation of 8585. So it has about a 2000 gain. It has an average grade of 41% and the steepest is 68%. So as you can see it is pretty steep.

This is the view from the starting point. It was about 60 degrees that day.

Amanda and I at the top of the Incline. She insisted that I do it with her. By the time we had reached the top we could see our breath. We both finished under 2 hours. That's just not on the way up. It is the time of going up and then down the backside. The backside is longer too because it is a trail that winds down.

This is the view from the top. You can see a lot of Colorado up there.

LOVELAND!

This was the start of a beautiful day in Loveland, CO.

Chris Paukie, Me, and Mike Fuentes all on the mountain. We were about to hit the slopes hard. Sure enough we did. We hadn't ripped the pow in awhile since being out of the country. We all took some spills and got right back up and kept going. But we had fun and that is all that matters. It started snowing which was even more awesome because we had fresh powder which is always better than hard rock ice.
Good thing we came prepared with clothes cause it had dropped below zero and that is why I am all bundled up.
