Which is a 15 min. drive from Ft. Carson. The incline is a mile long, with a starting elevation of 6574 and ending elevation of 8585. So it has about a 2000 gain. It has an average grade of 41% and the steepest is 68%. She insisted that I do it with her. By the time we had reached the top we could see our breath. We both finished under 2 hours. That's just not on the way up. It is the time of going up and then down the backside. We were about to hit the slopes hard. Sure enough we did. We hadn't ripped the pow in awhile since being out of the country. We all took some spills and got right back up and kept going. But we had fun and that is all that matters.
